1. How do Radia Smart products work?

2. My cell phone still have signal. Does it mean that the shielding does not work?

We understand that you would like to test the product yourself and see how it works. The best way of testing the product is by using an EMF reader that measures high frequency RF (Radiofrequency) measured in milliwatts (mW/m2). This kind of EMF is emitted from WIFI, cell phones, 5G, Bluetooth, etc. The high frequency (RF) can cover greater distance compared to the magnetic field. A good example of this is WIFI signal can cover the whole house while the magnetic field of the WIFI router is not detectable a few feet away from it.

Testing without an EMF reader e.g. only based on cell phone signal is not reliable. We find that cell phones with 4G and 5G can still receive calls even with really low power milliwatts (mW) or even in microwatts (uW). Using the EMF reader is definitely better.

Note: This blanket does not block low-frequency magnetic fields commonly measured in milligauss (mG). Thankfully the magnetic fields don't travel far from the source.

If an EMF meter is not readily available, you could use a WIFI scanner app. The app is free and has sound to indicate the signal strength.

We find that we can use this app to test the blanket effectiveness in blocking high frequency RF. We are not affiliated to the app developers at all. One example of the free app is Wi-Fi SweetSpots (You can download it from App Store)

3. Do Radia Smart products lost their ability to shield over time?

No. Radia Smart Shielding Fabric does not lose its effectiveness over time.  Radia Smart shielding fabric is made from highly conductive material.

4. What are Radia Smart products made of?

It depends on different products, most of Radia Smart product made of organic cotton, natural coloured cotton; shielding fabric.

5. Do Radia Smart products lose their ability to shield after machine-washing.  

No. It will not lose its shielding ability over the time and after wash as long as you follow the washing instruction.  

6. What is the washing instruction?

Washing instruction: hand wash preferred or gentle machine wash in cold water. Use gentle (phosphate-free) detergent, Air dry. Do not tumble dry, dry-clean or bleach or iron.

If wash according to these instruction and keep free of mechanical and chemical stress, the fabric should retain its shielding effectiveness indefinitely. 

7. I'm not pregnant. Can I still use Radia Smart products?

Absolutely, anyone can use Radia Smart products. The products are suitable to use for all.

8. Does your sheet block all types of EMF?

Our sheets primarily block EMF in the radiofrequency range, with a minimum shielding efficiency of 90%. This range typically covers signals from WiFi that can span throughout a house. Electric and magnetic fields are generally not detectable a few feet away from the source.

9. Can I use the Radia Smart blankets to cover Wi-Fi routers to block EMF?

The blankets are primarily designed for personal use to reduce radiation exposure when worn. While you can temporarily cover a Wi-Fi router with the blanket, it may reduce the signal strength. It's recommended to turn off the router at night to minimize exposure.

10. Do Radia Smart products protect against 5G radiation?

Yes, Radia Smart products, including the Ponchos and blankets, are tested to shield against radio frequency radiation up to 40GHz, which includes 5G frequencies. The shielding effectiveness is consistent at 99% up to 59.3 dB.
